The lotus seed dryer uses an axial fan to heat the convective air flowing through the heat exchanger. The hot air flows through the drying mesh belt, transferring heat to the material. Fresh air enters the drying chamber through the air inlet for replenishment and is then discharged through the dehumidification outlet. This continuous addition of fresh air and exhaust of hot and humid air maintains the appropriate relative humidity within the dryer, conserving energy and allowing most of the hot air to circulate within the chamber, completing the drying process.
Lotus Seed Dryer Drying Process Introduction:
1. Lotus Seed Drying Pre-Processing: Fresh lotus seeds are shelled, peeled, and cored before entering the drying process.
2. Lotus Seed Shelf Drying: After removing impurities and cores, the lotus seeds are sorted by size, evenly loaded onto a mesh screen, and then loaded into a material cart. Upon entering the drying room, the spacing between trays is kept approximately 10 cm to ensure adequate clearance within the drying room for the hot air to pass through.
① Initial Drying Stage: Lotus seeds are relatively heat-resistant, so the initial drying temperature can be increased, starting at a constant temperature of 45°C.
② Constant-Rate Drying Stage: Set the temperature to 50°C and the humidity to 55%. Increase dehumidification. This phase involves moisture formation on the surface of the lotus seeds, which condenses into water and is then discharged outside the drying room. Dehumidification is performed continuously. This drying phase should last for approximately two hours. Simultaneously, the constant temperature and circulating air evenly distribute heat to every corner of the drying room, allowing the lotus seeds to continuously evaporate moisture, which is then removed by the dehumidification system.
③ High-Temperature, Low-Humidity Stage: Set the temperature to 60°C and the humidity to approximately 30%. This phase lasts for six hours. Adjust the humidity and temperature appropriately based on the moisture content, ensuring that the dried lotus seeds are evenly dried, both internally and externally, and remain plump and full. Dry the lotus seeds to a moisture content of approximately 12%.
