Lantian brand pepper dryer improves the quality of dried peppers from energy saving and environmental protection

Every summer and autumn is the season for pepper production. But the rainfall in this season is as high as 70-80%, especially in tropical and sub-tropical rainforest countries. If the precipitation in the peppers harvesting season is excessive, it is bound to cause a lot of pepper mildew, causing huge losses to farmers. Lantian factory invented the pepper dryer successfully solved the problem caused by excessive rain.

Compared with the traditional dryer, the pepper dryer from Lantian factory is more advanced in energy conservation, drying efficiency, safety and intelligence. When using our new type Pepper Dryer, to improve the quality of the dried Pepper, we give the following advice:
1. The pepper stacked thickness is usually 20-30cm. If stacked too thin, although air permeability is good, wind resistance is small, and it is conducive to heat exchange, but contact time of hot air and pepper is short, lower heat will be utilized. If stacked too thick, the resistance increases, the hot air can not penetrate the pepper layer, then the drying effect will be worse.
2. Pepper contains 10 important nutrients (protein, iron, fat, carotene, sugar, thiamine, calories, nicotinic acid, calcium, riboflavin, phosphorus, ascorbic acid), some of which are susceptible to loss and damage in hing temperature. In order to save the nutritional content, it is not appropriate to choose the high hot air temperature for drying.
3. Pepper moisture content is very high, usually 75-85%, we can adopt the period-drying method. Let the pepper moisture to 50% in the first drying period, then use the "heat sweating" way, then go for second period of drying after "sweating". The heat sweating process is very important in the pepper drying. This process will effect the drying quality and drying time. The pepper will turns to soft and swell, while, the "heat sweating" way is mainly to control the drying quality and to make the pepper oil going to the surface to ensure the same color after drying and make the pepper moisture to balance. If don't use the "heat sweating" way, it will need about 63 hours drying time if to dry 1000kg pepper by using 40-60 degree, but if use "heat sweating" way, the drying time will be lower to 48 hours. When the pepper are in the second period drying process, it is not good to flip the pepper, otherwise, the pepper damage rate will be higher.
