Sweet potato drying can be divided into natural drying and artificial drying. The products dried by natural drying can maintain the original nutrition and unique flavor of sweet potatoes in terms of color, appearance, sweetness, toughness and softness, but it takes a long time, is easy to become rancid, and is often easily damaged by the weather, which can easily destroy the nutrition and unique flavor of sweet potatoes. Sweet potato drying, sweet potato drying:
(1) Preliminary work for sweet potato drying (sweet potato drying):
Wash the sweet potatoes, steam them until they are about 70% to 80% cooked, and slice them manually after cooling.
The thickness of the sweet potato slices should be consistent, and the specifications of the sweet potato slices should not vary too much.
Spread the sliced sweet potatoes evenly on the rack.
(2) Heat pump dried sweet potato (sweet potato) drying process:
Start the heat pump dried sweet potato drying machine, preheat the drying room temperature to about 30 degrees, put in the dried sweet potato, set the first stage to 40℃, and set the timer for 1~2 hours.
The second stage temperature is set to 55℃, and the timer is 2 hours.
The third stage temperature is set to 65℃, and the timer is 2 hours.
The fourth stage temperature is set to 70℃, and the timer is 1 hour.
After the set time period is over, the control system automatically shuts down the heat pump dried sweet potato drying machine, and the material is taken out after one hour.
(3) Pack the dried sweet potato (sweet potato) into bags.
The heat pump dried sweet potato drying machine is a gentle drying method that is close to natural drying. The evaporation rate of surface moisture is close to the migration rate of internal moisture to the surface, which makes the dried items have good quality, good color, and high product grade. The aromatic volatile substances obtained by ordinary drying methods are less retained, the heat-resistant vitamins are less retained, and the color changes are larger.
